THE FUTURE

OF SPECIALTY CACAO

Cacao does not evolve through isolated initiatives, but through alignment.
Our work sits at the intersection of producers, makers, researchers, brands, institutions, and educators—helping individual efforts contribute to a more coherent, resilient Specialty Cacao sector.
Whether supporting a single project or facilitating multi-stakeholder dynamics, we engage with cacao as a living system that requires structure, dialogue, and long-term vision.

Fostering a structured Specialty Cacao Sector

We foster a structured Specialty Cacao sector by working together with institutions, industry associations, research organizations, and many other actors of the value chain willing to contribute in a collective effort to the development of a regulatory and coordinating body.

What we do:

  • Leading exploration projects, (identifying limits of the current framework, analyzing the kinds of structure needed…),
  • Managing working groups and projects towards greater convergence across the sector,
  • Supporting research-led initiatives and the development of educational tools,

Advocating for a systemic approach of cacao

Cacao is a complex subject: a product of nature, a cultural cornerstone, and a demanding material to craft.

Through consulting, curated experiences and strategic guidance, we support projects that seek to engage with cacao in deeper and more meaningful ways.

Types of projects we work on:

  • Educational projects (documentaries, exhibitions, publications…),
  • Supporting makers and producers developping their market (curating educational events, strategic positioning, reaching new B2B opportunities…),
  • Sharing cacao through experiences (talks, curated tastings, profilings…),

Spreading a broader and better understanding of cacao

Cacao reveals its full meaning when it is approached as more than a crop, material or commodity. It is a subject to explore, taste, question, and contextualize.

By combining educational programs, cuppings, and hands-on trainings, we invite professionals to engage with cacao through its many facets—historical, scientific, cultural, and sensory. Opening the way to a deeper, more nuanced understanding and therefore to a better use and appreciation.

Our work includes:

  • Professional training programs (from teaching in-depth cacao litterature to elevating handling & tasting skills…),
  • Market development (implementing bean-to-bar chocolate & origin cacao, diversifying offer, designing menus, sourcing & connections with expertly curated suppliers…)
  • Cuppings & profilings,
