THE FUTURE

OF SPECIALTY CACAO

Cacao does not evolve through isolated initiatives, but through alignment.
Our work sits at the intersection of producers, makers, researchers, brands, institutions, and educators—helping individual efforts contribute to a more coherent, resilient Specialty Cacao sector.
Whether supporting a single project or facilitating multi-stakeholder dynamics, we engage with cacao as a living system that requires structure, dialogue, and long-term vision.

Fostering a structured Specialty Cacao Sector

We foster a structured Specialty Cacao sector by working together with institutions, industry associations, research organizations, and many other actors of the value chain willing to contribute in a collective effort to the development of a regulatory and coordinating body.

What we do:

  • Leading exploration projects, analyzing the kinds of structure needed for the sector,
  • Identifying limits of the current framework to open new pathways for evolution,
  • Managing working groups and projects towards greater convergence across the sector,

Advocating for a systemic approach of cacao

Cacao is a complex subject: a product of nature, a cultural cornerstone, and a demanding material to craft.
We develop and support projects through consulting and R&D. Studying grey areas—combining strategic guidance, vision, and technical expertise—we help you engage with cacao beyond the beans alone.

Types of projects we work on:

  • Adding value at the source,
  • Helping makers and producers targetting a new audience,
  • Supporting the development of the Specialty ecosystem through research-led initiatives and the development of educational tools,

Spreading a broader and better understanding of cacao

Cacao reveals its full meaning when it is approached as more than a crop, material or commodity. It is a subject to explore, taste, question, and contextualize.

By combining educational collaborations, cuppings, and hands-on trainings, we invite professionals to engage with cacao through its many facets—historical, scientific, cultural, and sensory—opening the way to a deeper, more nuanced understanding.

Our work includes:

  • Educational projects (documentaries, exhibitions, publications…),
  • Different training formats (origin cacao drinks; in-depth systemic approach to cacao),
  • Cuppings & tastings,
